While your greatest strengths are invaluable assets, they often come with hidden challenges that can impact your effectiveness in the workplace. Understanding this duality is key to personal growth, especially in leadership roles.

Ofman’s Core Quadrant model (2004) offers a powerful framework for self-awareness and development, helping you explore the potential pitfalls associated with your core qualities. By combining this model with your OPTO profile, you can gain deeper insights into your strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.

To support your leadership journey, we've developed a worksheet tailored to the 20 OPTO Aspects. This tool is designed to help you look up your core qualities, be aware of potential pitfalls, recognise challenges, and identify your allergies — all based on your unique OPTO profile.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1.  Self-Reflection: Begin by examining your OPTO profile on page 5 of your OPTO Leadership Report to identify your core qualities, indicated by Aspects with the highest scores. Use the worksheet to explore the corresponding pitfalls, challenges, and allergies. Reflect on whether these insights resonate with your personal experiences and document your findings.

2.  Application in Leadership: Utilise the worksheet as a guide for your leadership development. Regularly review and update your notes as you grow, ensuring that you remain aware of both your strengths and areas needing attention.

3.  Feedback and Coaching: Share your worksheet with a coach or mentor to gain valuable feedback. Discuss strategies to mitigate potential pitfalls and maximize your strengths in leadership scenarios.

This worksheet is designed to serve as a personalized roadmap for balancing your strengths with an awareness of potential weaknesses, ultimately fostering a more adaptable and effective leadership style.
